The ALABUGA-FIBRE facility was officially inaugurated in May 2015. The Facility was established by Holding Company Composite (HCC) by the order of the State Atomic Corporation Rosatom. The facility manufacturing capacity is 1,700 tpa of Carbon Fiber (CF). Currently CF Umatex 42-12K EP batch production is starting at the facility. The Holding Company was established in 2009. The vertically integrated HCC includes a PAN fibre manufacturing facility Composite-Volokno, as well as Argon and ZUKM high strength and high modulus CF manufacturing facilities (belong to State Atomic Corporation Rosatom). HCC also manages one of Rusnano Projects - Prepreg-ACM that manufactures CF-based fabrics and high quality prepregs. In the fall of 2011 HCC and the Foundation for Infrastructure and Educational programs established Nanotechnology Centre of Composites aimed at providing the full range of services in the area of engineering and experimental production of composite parts.
